Stephanie Barnhill Neal is a North Carolina based writer, photographer and artist. She is a multigenerational North Carolinian, who specializes in studying the state's history and ecology . She was born in the small southern town of Elizabethtown, North Carolina with deep roots in Harnett, Bladen and Cumberland Counties. She began her photography journey 20 years ago in the hidden alleys of Downtown Fayetteville with a point-and-shoot 35mm camera and a roll of black and white film.
Stephanie has just been signed to Arcadia Publishing and is currently writing a book that explores the state's Carolina Bay lakes and formations. She is also the founder of Urban Fringe Media, a North Carolina arts and culture publication.
